Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 30 salt crackers
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons dry potato flakes
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 egg
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place the salt crackers in a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin until finely crushed.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed crackers, flour, potato flakes, seasoned salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg, then coat with the cracker mixture.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes to ensure they are cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious fried chicken!
